Sun-Times News Group Announces Agreement to Outsource Inbound Classified Ad Sales Operations

Outsourcing Is Part Of Previously Announced $50 Million Cost
Reduction Plan

CHICAGO, Aug 11, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Sun-Times Media Group, Inc. (OTCBB:SUTM) today announced that the Sun-Times News Group, its principal operating unit, has expanded its relationship with Buffalo, New York-based Classifieds Plus, Inc. to handle most of its inbound classified advertising sales.

The Sun-Times News Group launched a pilot program with Classifieds Plus at its suburban Fox Valley Publications division in March, with successful results. Upon review, the Company decided to outsource nearly all inbound classified call activities across all Sun-Times News Group divisions, which include the Chicago Sun-Times; Pioneer Press Publications; Post-Tribune; and Midwest Suburban Publishing, which includes the SouthtownStar.

Classifieds Plus provides classified call center services to more than 200 newspapers across the United States.
